The falls sits in the middle of the mountains of San Gabriel. It’s created by a big rock face blocking Baroro river’s flow. There are two swim-able basins here. The main basin is bigger which sits directly below the waterfalls. Swimming at the base is possible but be very careful since the rocks are slippery. There’s also a basin above with calmer waters.

Mazu (Ma-zeun) is the deified form of the medieval Fujianese teenager Lin Moniang. Mazuism is not formally recognized as a religion by either Mainland China or Taiwan, but remains a popular folk belief in Fujian and on Taiwan. The temple in San Fernando was erected in 1975.

It is a low falls but there is really nothing else that beats the beauty of nature, regardless of size. One can take a quick dip (no bathrooms, by the way), take photos, have lunch/snacks before going back down. In our case, we just took photos and dipped our feet in the cold, refreshing water before heading back.
